Health & Safety Culture Enhancement

An industry leader operating across 10 countries needed to strengthen its safety culture, reduce Lost Time Injuries (LTIs), and make a new Health & Safety Management System land with the workforce.

Challenge


Great system on paper; low adoption in practice. Information-heavy rollouts weren’t translating into day-to-day behaviors or a mature safety culture.

Our Approach


  • Discover: Rapid ecosystem audit—policies, training, roles, tools, and local realities.

  • Design: Three aligned tracks:
    i. Leaders’ Mindset: Experiential sessions to internalize the H&S Management System and model “what good looks like.”
    ii. Technical Skills: Comprehensive safety culture manual, driver training, and job aids for field teams.
    iii. Culture in Practice: Hazard Identification and Risk Tolerance Awareness courses; scenario-based practice and soft-skills reinforcement.

  • Enable: Manager toolkits, local adaptations, and a simple cadence for refreshers.

Outcomes


  • Shared safety language and behaviors from shop floor to senior leadership.

  • Faster adoption of the H&S Management System in daily operations.

  • Better leading indicators (e.g., quality of reports, frequency of toolbox talks, audit readiness).

  • Program sustained and expanded across regions.
